Study of Vertical lines and Curves

Based on a photo I took in a small park in Toronto during early Spring. The leaves haven't grown back yet, making it a good time to observe the vertical lines of trees and the curves from roads, fence, and river.
I first did a painting with ArtRage, basically just copying the content from the photo. Then I painted the new version in Photoshop.

The composition is mainly vertical lines and curves. I'm trying to maintain a balance between realistic style and abstract one, with more emphasize on the abstractness. The geese in the painting, though a common scene in real life, were added mainly to express the "curve".
